Powerful Presentations Workshop

Come join us during a three-day seminar for an experiential and engaging learning opportunity!

Have you been asked to talk about your special interests and you cringe inside and think “No, not me”? Have you been asked to lead a meeting or make a presentation to a leadership group at work? Have you ever wished that students were interested and involved in your classes?  Have you ever wondered whether your students are “getting it”?  Is the thought of speaking in front of a group terrifying?  Do you have limited teaching or presentation experience and wonder how you got yourself into this situation?

Powerful Presentations utilizes small group work settings with the immediate, potent feedback of being video recorded. You will have the opportunity to experience presenting content, receiving immediate feedback from peers and observing yourself on a take home video.  This type of learning enables rapid behavioral change.  This technique accompanied by a structured framework of specific tools to use in presentations will support your rapid growth in improving the quality of your presentations.

Tools for the following areas will be practiced: constructing content, creating a set, capturing the learner’s attention and enrolling them in the course or session, strategies to keep students/participants engaged, varying the stimuli, the importance of the learning environment and the importance of the use of questions as well as creating closure.  Let us help you put the pieces together so that you can deliver a powerful presentation!

The next Powerful Presentations Workshop will be held June 26-28 at the Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence at a location to be decided. The fee for the course is $950 and will cover all supplies, course materials and meals.  **New this session: We will offer Early-Bird pricing of $900 if you register and pay by 6/5/2017. Additionally, if your agency sends 3 or more participants, we will offer a discounted price of $850/person until 6/5/17** Students who complete all hours of the seminar will be eligible to receive nursing CE credit*.
