Join our efforts to achieve health equity in the US through strengthened nursing capacity and expertise. Implementation planning has begun based on The Future of Nursing Report 2020 - 2030.

The Problem

The United States spends more than $3.5 trillion annually on health care while underperforming on nearly every metric. Our nursing workforce needs vast improvements so that nurses are retained, valued, and able to address health equity rooted in centuries of injustice that will take substantive societal changes to solve.

The Solution

Systems that educate, pay, employ, and empower nurses need to permanently remove barriers, value nurses' contributions, prepare nurses to advance equity, and diversify the workforce.

The Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence, along with hundreds of community members, leads the Colorado Action Coalition (COAC). Four Strategic Advisory Committees are tasked with planning the implementation of the Future of Nursing Recommendations in Colorado over the next decade. Implementing the Recommendations will take a village.

We Want YOU!

This is an excellent opportunity to have your voice, perspective, expertise, and interests heard and gain a feeling of community, maintain progression of professional development, and increase satisfaction by working on mission-driven/passion/values-based work.
