Whether at the doctor’s office, the hospital or the long-term care facility, we all depend on nurses for high-quality, compassionate health care – yet Colorado’s nursing shortage is twice the national average.

The Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence wants to change that. We are the only organization in Colorado exclusively dedicated to ensuring that our state has adequate numbers of highly-qualified nurses. With leadership from practicing nurses, we convene health care providers, educators and government offices to generate innovative solutions. We focus on education, recruitment and retention.

We’re proud of the role we play – Building Partnerships to Enhance the Colorado Nursing Workforce
