Nurses on Boards Coalition

Nurses on Boards Coalition (NOBC) is a national and state effort to ensure nurses are at every meeting where health and the business of healthcare is being discussed.

Nurses Matter

Nurses are the largest segment of the healthcare workforce, are the most trusted of all professionals, and are the leaders, influencers, and implementers of everything healthcare-related. However, nurses' expertise and presence on corporate, health-related, and other boards, panels, and commissions is minimal and out of balance with the impact nurses have on healthcare.

The Goal

Beginning in 2014 and fueled by the Future of Nursing Report 2010-2020, NOBC announced its goal to get 10,000 nurses on boards. We are proud to report that Colorado has surpassed its goal and now has 388 nurses on boards!! The only way to know who is on the board is BE COUNTED so please sign up if you are already on a board or commission!

How to Participate

If you want to SERVE ON A BOARD please let us know! All nurses can serve on a board (it's not just something you do after retirement). We are here to help you prepare, get oriented, and mentor you through your first board appointment.

Go for it! Sign up! We are here to support you.
