Next Step: A Voice In The Boardroom
I’m sure we would all agree that having more nurses on boards of health care organizations and corporations and on policy advisory committees would make a difference in improving the health of people and creating healthy public policy. Join us for an interactive training workshop that will help to prepare you to be on a board!
You will learn the responsibilities and roles of a board member, and gain the confidence, know-how, and practical skills needed to bridge the leadership gap in the board room. Nurses bring different priorities and experiences to public life, including perspectives that have been largely missing from public and private policy making.
This workshop will assist you in getting from outside the rooms of influence, through the door, and at the table participating and communicating – where you want and need to be! Workshop leaders will be Diana Mason, PhD, RN, FAAN, and Barbara Glickstein, RN, MPH. We hope to see you on June 2nd!
