Nursing Workforce Diversity Program

The Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence is focused on incorporating diversity, equity and inclusion as a component in all of our training programs. Our work began in 2014 when we received a Nurse Workforce Diversity (NWD) grant from HRSA. The Center has recently been awarded another Nursing Workforce Diversity grant from HRSA that will allow us to continue this important work. This 3-year program will increase the capacity of four Colorado and New Mexico institutions to admit, retain, and graduate diverse and disadvantaged nursing students.

The 3-year program includes a multitude of training modules.
