Mentor Training Institute

This course prepares mentors to effectively support the growth and development of a mentee.  Participants explore the role and expectations of a mentor and develops skills that empowers the mentee to set goals, develop networks and identify resources that will foster their success.

Leading Teams

Today’s healthcare environment requires leaders be proficient in team-based care and leading effective teams. This is a year-long leadership development program that includes three-day face-to-face intensive experiential learning, a series of individual and group assessments, a leadership capstone integration project focused on quality improvement, and eight individualized leadership coaching sessions focused on improving team performance.

Coaching for Leadership Skills Workshop

Coaching has been identified as the number one skill needed by leaders in today’s ever-changing healthcare environment.  The reality is that many leaders have had no training or education on coaching. The Coaching as a Leadership Skill Workshop is designed to provide a foundation on what coaching is and is not to effectively begin using coaching as a leadership skill.

Foundation skills for preceptors

Bridging the gap between what a student learns in school and the real clinical world is increasingly challenging as our health care system becomes more and more complex.  This is the role of a preceptor.  This five-hour series is designed for novice and experienced preceptors providing a set of tools that will support this expanded role.

Clinical Scholars

The Clinical Scholar Workshop was developed to prepare BSN or higher academically prepared registered nurse to work with a school of nursing  to instruct nursing students in a clinical setting. Clinical Scholars assist with the valuable, hands-on instruction that can only be provided by skilled, seasoned nurses.

Coaching for Retention

The Coaching for Retention Program is a six-month leadership development program focused on developing coaching skills to create a healthy organizational culture and to enhance employee engagement and retention. The program includes a two-day in-person experiential learning session, individual assessments, and six months of formal group (peer) coaching for skill integration.

Nursing Leadership Connection

The Nursing Leadership Connection (NLC) Mission is to support emerging nursing leaders with leadership development, resiliency strategies and networking opportunities throughout Colorado. NLC enables and prepares nurses for leadership roles through education, skill-building, and networking. This group of leaders gathers quarterly for education and networking events and at an annual full-day conference.
