Colorado Rural New Graduate Nurse Residency

The Center has been awarded a sponsorship by the U.S. Department of Labor for a new nurse residency apprenticeship program focused on supporting new graduate nurses' transition to practice.

Rural behavioral health integration

Partnering to move from crisis to innovation, Regis University, The Center, three rural nurse-led primary care clinics, and three schools of nursing have partnered for a three-year HRSA-funded grant to integrate culturally inclusive behavioral health in rural communities.

Coaching has been identified as the number one skill needed by leaders in today’s ever-changing healthcare environment.  The reality is that many leaders have had no training or education on coaching. The Coaching as a Leadership Skill Workshop is designed to provide a foundation on what coaching is and is not to effectively begin using coaching as a leadership skill.

Foundation skills for preceptors

Bridging the gap between what a student learns in school and the real clinical world is increasingly challenging as our health care system becomes more and more complex.  This is the role of a preceptor.  This five-hour series is designed for novice and experienced preceptors providing a set of tools that will support this expanded role.

Clinical Scholars

The Clinical Scholar Workshop was developed to prepare BSN or higher academically prepared registered nurse to work with a school of nursing  to instruct nursing students in a clinical setting. Clinical Scholars assist with the valuable, hands-on instruction that can only be provided by skilled, seasoned nurses.

Coaching for Retention

The Coaching for Retention Program is a six-month leadership development program focused on developing coaching skills to create a healthy organizational culture and to enhance employee engagement and retention. The program includes a two-day in-person experiential learning session, individual assessments, and six months of formal group (peer) coaching for skill integration.
